Teaching

Landscape education:
As I am passionate about design and ecology, I love sharing my knowledge with others. I currently teach landscape drafting for Santa Barbara City College and I teach drought tolerant landscape design for water districts thought Southern California. Informing people and sparking their interest in landscape is a joy to me, and I am available for workshops, public speaking, and writing projects. The topics I cover include: Principals of Sustainable Landscape Design, Water- and Fire-wise Landscape Design, Edible and Productive Landscaping, and Seed Saving and Propagation.

Garden Coaching: 
If you want to be more involved with your outdoor space but don’t know quite where to start, I can help. Whether you are looking to get rid of your lawn, capture rain water, grown vegetables, better care for your plants or work toward a more-sustainable landscape, I can provide hands on, one-on-one consulting that will help put you on the right track.
